PAH! Deaf Dance Company is poised to make history as the first-ever Deaf dance company to represent Jamaica ???????? on the global stage at the prestigious World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in California!
They’ve got the passion. They’ve got the talent.
There’s only one thing they don’t have—the resources.
When we at the Open Door Jamaica Foundation (ODJF) learned that PAH!’s GoFundMe campaign hadn’t gained the traction it deserved, we knew we had to do more than just cheer them on from the sidelines. So we visited them during one of their rehearsals—where their energy, discipline, and commitment brought tears to our eyes—and we donated JMD $500,000 towards their journey.
This isn’t just about dancing.
It’s about being seen.
It’s about being heard—in their own way.
It’s about celebrating the talents of Deaf youth who refuse to be silenced or sidelined.
These young performers are preparing to showcase the vibrant spirit of Jamaica with pride, passion, and power. But they can’t do it alone. They need our collective support to raise the JMD $2.5 million needed to cover their travel, accommodation, meals, and daily expenses for the 10-day trip.
At ODJF, we are committed to getting them there. Now we’re asking: Who will join us? Who will match us?
“One one cocoa, full basket.” Let’s fill this basket together and make Jamaican—and Deaf—history.
Let’s open more doors. Let’s break more barriers.
Let’s get PAH! to WCOPA—where they belong.
